On February 20, 1957, Willie Junior Washington was born to Helen and Robert Washington in Winnsboro, Louisiana. He was the only son born to this union.

Willie was educated in the Palo Verde Unified School District until he dropped out to begin working. He was a hometown boy in Blythe who was known by many. He accepted the Lord as his Savior at a young age and attended the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and the Greater White Rose Church of God in Christ. He loved to dress in his suits when going to church and parties. Nobody could tell him that he wasn't as "clean as hospital cotton."

His close friends and family called him "Two-Dollars." He inherited the nickname, "Two-Dollars" because he was known to ask any and everybody who entered the Buy Rite Market for two dollars so he could get him "something to drink."

Willie was a working man, throughout his life he worked at Morgan's, Fisher Ranch, Wal-Mart and a local dairy. He was the life of every party he attended. He was an accomplished domino player who knew how to "talk trash" for the whole game! He would slam his dominos and yell different slang saying for the points he scores like "there them three sisters" for fifteen points or "bolt them doors" when he scored twenty points. His favorite saying was…"HELLO SOMEBODY!" He was a comedian at heart who loved his family, friends, having a good time and a good drink. If you needed a good laugh just give him something to drink and let the show begin!!! He was the smoothest dancer you've ever met. He had the coolest two-step in town…nobody could out dance Sweet Will!

On November 18, 2017 Willie stepped out of this life into the after life. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Washington, Jr. and Helen Lee Washington; his grandparents, Robert Washington, Sr., Mary Vanley Washington, Maggie Lewis and David Boyd.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory one loving daughter, Irene; one granddaughter Iesha; sisters, Doretha, Theresa, Essie and Mary; aunts, Estelle, Daisy and Ethel; Uncle, Jimmy Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins, relatives and friends. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal….Rest Well Sweet Will!!

Viewing will be held Friday, November 24, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Frye Chapel.  Funeral service will be Saturday, November 25, 2017 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with graveside services following Palo Verde Cemetery.
