Wesley Glenn VanHook
March 29, 1970-March 03, 2023
Wesley Glenn VanHook entered into heaven unexpectedly on March 03, 2023, at the age of 52 in Blythe, CA. Wesley was born March 29, 1970 to Thomas Richard and Linda Sue VanHook. In 1997, he joined into a partnership with Candelaria Sanchez and started a family of three.
Wesley was a great man, who enjoyed fishing, camping, and going to the beach, and playing sports with his kids. Wesley always looked forward to our yearly camping trip, where he would pack all his fishing gear weeks in advance. He enjoyed his Sunday Football games and could be heard yelling at the TV when his Dallas Cowboys, fumbled the ball. He was a man of Great Spirit who would befriend any passerby talking it up with them as if they were life-long friends. His love of food made him an eating machine, a force to be reckoned with. He will always be remembered by the way he would talk in his funny voice. He was one of the greats! He will be loved and missed forever.
He is survived by his life partner Candelaria Sanchez, our children, Wesley Glenn VanHook II, Christian Joseph VanHook, and Mitchell Conner VanHook. His Mother Linda Sue Gardner (George), and his brothers Thomas Richard VanHook (Ambie), Kevin Dwayne VanHook, his Nephews Blake VanHook, Jonathan Richard VanHook, and Jason Cooper VanHook. His extended family Isabel (Robert) Verduzco, Susana (Heriberto) Cavazos, Maria De Lourdes (Earl II) Sonner, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wesley is preceded in death by his Father Thomas Richard VanHook, his Step-Father Cecil Marshall, and his grandparents.
A Celebration of life potluck will be held at the Catholic Church Parish Hall on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 2 p.m. where we can all gather, eat, and tell stories about how amazing he was.
