Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend Wayne C. Faulkner passed away on July 9, 2022 in Cherry Valley, CA.

Wayne was born on February 18, 1931 in Rule, Texas to Charlie and Joicy Faulkner. When Wayne was 9 years old his family moved to California.

Wayne worked at Western Cattle Feeders and Union Feed yard for a combined 40 years, then for the State of California for 10 years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Wayne married his first wife Ellen Todd and they bought a 10-acre ranch on DeFrain Blvd where they would raise their sons Kenny, Keith and Kevin. Wayne and Ellen divorced and Wayne married Sue Underwood and they had a son, Brian. Wayne was stepfather to Cheryl Goodrich (Gray) and Rick Gray.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Joicy Faulkner, first wife Ellen, brothers Charlie, Ronny and Jesse, his sister Doris, son Kenny and grandson Kenny II.

Wayne enjoyed farming and raising animals especially roosters. Wayne never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He will be fondly remembered for his story telling and all the smiles and laughter he brought to those around him.

Wayne is survived by his sister Ruth Lazzarotto, Don Faulkner (Linda), Gerald Faulkner (Lindell) and Dale Faulkner (Johanna), sons Keith Faulkner (Lori), Kevin Faulkner (Cordelia) and Brian Faulkner (Michelle) as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be at Palo Verde Cemetery on Friday July 29, 2022 at 9am with lunch following at the VFW 148 N. First Street.
