Walter Pope was born in January of 1944 in Blythe, CA.  He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Shara Pope; daughters Melinda Love and Kimberly Pope of Blythe; three grandchildren, Aderiana, Alize and Josiah; six great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Also surviving him are two siblings, Erma McClain of Blythe and Bonnie Toliver of Livermore.

His newborn son JonLee, parents John and Eva May, as well as his brother Lester, predeceased him.

Memorial service for Walter Pope will be held on Saturday, June 10th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Blythe, CA.
