Velma Maxine Crawford Browning, born September 12, 1938, Webbers Fall, Oklahoma and entered eternal rest on September 30, 2025 in Blythe, California.

Velma was born to Ralph W. Crawford and Bertha Mae Dillon Crawford and was the 5th child of 10.

Velma married Alvin Lee Browning in July of 1954 and to this union was born 6 children, C. Allen, Jimmy Lee, Debra Kay, Diana, Donna Lynn, and Della Sue.

Velma was preceded in death by both parents as well as 8 of her siblings; husband Alvin of only 11 years in 1966, her son Allen (Unk) in July 2017, grandson David Childers in 2018, son-in-law Leon Snowden 2025, and her daughter Debbie in July 2025. Velma leaves behind her only living sister Joyce Burt, son; Jimmy (Sylvia Browning), son-in-law Kevin Crinklaw, daughters; Diana (Mike) Phillips, Donna (Royce) Downing, and Della Snowden. Velma also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Velma was the proud grandparent of 16, great-grandparent of 40, and great-great grandparent of 10.

Velma faithfully served the Lord for life and tried to instill the importance of God to everyone especially her children and grandchildren by being a living example to all.

Rest in Peace Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother, and friend to all.

A memorial service for Velma will be held at Palo Verde Cemetery, Monday, October 20 at 11 a.m.
