Valerie Jean Morrison passed away on March 23, 2017. Valerie was born on June 30, 1937 in Blythe, California and lived in Blythe her entire life.

She met the love of her life, Benjamin Morrison on a blind date. They were happily married for 53 years.

Valerie loved her family deeply. She was a cherished mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Valerie is survived by her husband, Benjamin; her children Donna (Gene) DeShazo, Linda (Lonnie) Guthrie, and Debra (Ron) Longazo; her grandchildren Jessica DeShazo,, Vincent (Ivette) DeShazo, Tawni (Michael) Heflin, Dillon Guthrie, Lana Guthrie, Gia Guthrie, Jacob Longazo and Alex Longazo; and her great grandchildren Malia Heflin, Ella Heflin, and Ivan DeShazo. Valerie also leaves a sister, Mildred Cheatwood and a brother, Robert Murray.

Graveside Services will be Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10 am at Palo Verde Cemetery.
