Obituary

Uva Dean Arthur Linares, age 90, died on June 10, 2019 in Gig Harbor, WA.

She was born on June 7, 1929 to William and Nancy Arthur in Oklahoma. Her father was a Farmer which is why they moved to Blythe, California in the 40's. She had seven older brothers and sisters. She graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1947. Shortly after High School she met the man of her dreams and they were married for 69 years. They made a beautiful couple. Ralph Linares passed away in 2018. She has now joined him in Heaven along with her son William Anthony, family and friends.

Uva Dean will be remembered for her kind and beautiful heart. She had a strong faith in God and prayed every day. She was very proud working for the Southern Railroad in Blythe when she was young. She spoke of many good memories about the railroad her entire life. After they had a family, she remained a housewife until her youngest was in High School. She worked in retail on and off for many years. When she was older, she worked for Auntie Anne's Pretzels in Bakersfield, CA passing out samples to everyone in the mall. She was always asked by many people if she was the real "Auntie Anne". Most of her money was donated to people at her work. She always had a heart for people in need. She also gave her Grandchildren money along with all of their favorite pretzels. Her manager at Auntie Anne's had a kind heart for allowing her to work until she was in her early 80's. We will always be grateful to her manager for bringing great happiness to our loved one!

She is survived by her children; Debra and Jerry Freeland of Twin Oaks, CA, Johnny and Tammy Broussard of Gig Harbor, WA. Grand-children; Matthew Irwin, Cory and Stefanie Irwin, Kiley Irwin, Jenna and Tracey Wood, Johnny Broussard II; Danielle and Colton Miller. Great-grandchildren; Isabella Irwin, Ryder Irwin, Auggie Irwin, Rory Wood, Gwyneth Wood and Van Wood. Brother; Louie and Joyce Linares (Deceased), Sister; Delfina and Cliff Fawcett (Both deceased). Nieces and Nephews; Patricia and Thomas Augustine, Elisa Linares, Kathy Linares, Louie and Kelly Linares, Krista and Matt Behringer, Ron Brown, Sue Pollack and Sparky Reed.
