Susanna Cota
Gonzalez
Aug 15, 1978 — Sep 4, 2023
Blythe
Susanna Cota Gonzalez, age 45, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2023, in Indio California, with her loving family by her side after a long fight with cancer. She was born on August 15, 1978 in Blythe California, to Ramon and Beverly Hernandez Cota. She was the third born of their five children and attended Felix J. Appleby Elementary School, Palo Verde Jr. High and Palo Verde High school in Blythe California.
Susanna was a beautiful and loving person. She was a very strong willed single mother raising her four loving children, Ricardo (Ricky)Garcia, Ruben Garcia, Romeo Garcia and Ray Anthony Garcia. She was a hard worker and was determined to give her children the best life possible. On March 2003, Susanna married the love of her life Felipe Lucio Gonzalez. This union brought her an abundance of love and happiness for her and her children. Her little family was complete. In August of 2019 they bought their first home. The home was small but filled with love and happiness. Blythe was Susanna's home town. She enjoyed cruising around town with Felipe and stopping to visit family along the way before calling it a night.
While living in Indio California, Susanna loved staying with her sister Rosalie and going for rides in the Coachella Valley with her sisters Lulu, Rosalie, mom and dad. She enjoyed driving near Washington Avenue in La Quinta, to see the United States of America flag flying high on the mountain. Her biggest excitement during one of her rides in Palm Springs was seeing the big statue of Marilyn Monroe. She was in awe at how large the statue of Marilyn was!
She loved spending time with her family, having family barbecues, listening to radio station 99.5 in Palm Desert California, talking to her besties Summer Davis Duenes and Liz Rojas. Her past time was searching Amazon for items she needed to redecorate her home. She enjoyed talking and face timing her sisters Lulu and Rosalie, here brothers Ramon Jr. and Jose, to share her day. She loved talking to all her nieces and nephews giving them sound advice. She also let them know how much she loved them. Her family meant the world to her! Susanna's passion was her job as a supervisor working with persons with disabilities, at Shelter Wings in Blythe. Her loving heart, kindness and dedication suited her for the job. Her reward was seeing the smiles on their faces at their smallest accomplishments and a high five.
