Sonhia Gail Waymire Garrett passed away peacefully June 30, 2019 in Blythe, CA.

Sonhia was born Dec. 23, 1945 in Perris, CA to William Edward (Dub) & Lois Waymire.

She married the love of her life, Jesse Garrett, on August 14, 1982 and raised their family here in Blythe.  Sonhia was a loving and kind wife, sister, mother, and grandmother.  She always had family and friends around, laughing and telling stories and making more memories for more stories.

Sonhia loved her garden and took pride in her yard. Jesse always had her a rose garden that she loved.  She also loved to go camping, fishing and hunting.  She never met a stranger as she could talk to anyone, but she loved her family the most.

Sonhia is survived by her husband Jesse; daughters Kendra Peters, Carolyn Kribbs and Shelley Dewitt (Kevin); sons Marshall Garrett (Brenda) and Mitchell Garrett; sisters Connie Flood (Marty), Violet Stewart (Rob) and Tammy Milton (Rocky); brother Dwight Waymire and brother-in-law Woody Garrett; 22 grandkids, 12 great grandkids and two more great grandkids on the way.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; brothers Richard, Eddie, Ronnie and Jimmy Waymire; sister Brenda Garrett and son-in-law Frank Kribbs.

Services will be at Frye Chapel, with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. and service beginning at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday July 9, 2019.  There will be a luncheon following the services at the American Legion, 137 N. Ash, Blythe, CA.
