On March 5, 2020, our beloved brother Simon Q. Duenaz, entered into eternal rest with his daughter and family by his side. He was 59 years old.

Simon Quiroz Duenaz was born February 18, 1961 to Emiliano and Valentina Duenaz in Blythe, CA. He was one of thirteen children, which included nine brothers and three sisters. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing with his brothers. He also enjoyed music, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. He married Annie Michelle Escorpiso in 2002, they shared 14 years of marriage together and they remained great friends after marriage.

Simon was preceded in death by his parents Emiliano and Valentina Duenaz; his sister Dora Duenaz Lopez; and his brothers Andrew, Rudy, and David "Dino" Duenaz.

He is survived by his daughter Erica Michelle Shinault (Benton); his grandchildren Re'al and Trenton of Blythe, CA; his sisters Ruth Duenaz Gobea and Guadalupe Duenaz Perez; his brothers Carlos Duenaz (Raquel), Albert Duenaz (Virginia), Rosalio, Ruben, Pedro and George Duenaz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Simon was a very caring Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020, with Visitation from 9-11am and Funeral Service at 11am at Frye Chapel.
