Simon Acosta, 79, passed away July 31, 2017 in Indio, California with family by his side.

Simon was born in Chicorato, Sinaloa, Mexico to Salvador and Jesusa Acosta. He came to Blythe in 1975 and made this his home. He worked as an irrigator for 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Sanchez and children Louis, Cruz, Victor and Simon. Antonio preceded him in death in 1993. He also has 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 6, 2017 at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church from 6 - 8 pm with Rosary recited at 7 pm. Mass will be held Monday, August 7, 2017 at 12:00 pm at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Palo Verde Cemetery.
