Sergio Garcia Rodriguez, 63, known to many as "Chibuya", passed away unexpectedly from this life on February 6, 2021 in Palm Springs, CA.

Sergio was born in Ejido Mexico, Baja California on December 3, 1957 to Narciso Rodriguez and Socorro Garcia. Sergio met the love of his life in the late 80's and began a family and made Blythe, CA their home. He worked in agriculture irrigating 20 plus years for Desert Security Farms, Cox Farms and Fondomonte until medically retiring due to health issues. He developed a love for cooking and helping Sergio Jr. run a taco business (Taco In The Desert), making tacos on Taco Tuesday and catering for special events.

Sergio was preceded in death by his parents Narciso and Socorro and his two sisters Eva Contreras and Maria Carillo.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Teresa Rodriguez, two sons and three daughters. Salvador (Sonia) of Yuma, AZ, Claudia (Jesus) of Puerto Panasco, Mexico, Sergio (Belen) of Blythe, CA, Yarissa (Martin) of Blythe, CA and Daissy of Blythe, CA; five grandchildren Liz, Tonio, Salvador, Alex and Annalisa; his brother Rafael (Cecilia) Rodriguez and his sister Isabel (Andres) Carillo and many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends of Ejido Mexico. He will be greatly missed by all.

Services will be held for Sergio on Thursday, February 18th beginning with visitation at 9:00 a.m. and Rodary at 10:00 a.m. all at Frye Chapel.  Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
