Santos Gonzalez was born in Aquiles Serdan, Chihuahua, Mexico on November 1, 1933. He passed away on January 1, 2025.

He was raised in a small town of San Ignacio in the valley of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. He worked in a cattle ranch in Texas. Later he worked in a factory in El Paso, Texas. He also worked in agriculture in the valley of New Mexico. He came to Blythe in 1964 with friends and worked in agriculture. Two years later he decided to bring his family; wife and daughter. He continued to work in agriculture where he was an irrigator and later became a heavy machine operator until he was disabled in 1992.

He is survived by his daughter Antonia Romero of Blythe, grandson Carlos Romero, and great-grandson Carlos W. Romero who lives in Virginia.

Funeral services for Santos will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Frye Chapel with viewing from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Rosary begins at 7:00 PM. Mass will be Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Burial services to follow at Palo Verde Cemetery.
