It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved grandfather Ruben Q. Duenaz. He fell asleep in death with family by his side and surrounded with love on January 6, 2024, at El Centro Regional Medical Center, Ruben was 77 years old.

Ruben Q. Duenaz was born on March 20, 1946, to Emiliano and Valentina Duenaz in Blythe, California. He was one of thirteen children, which included nine brothers and three sisters. He loved watching old western tv shows and movies, he also enjoyed cooking and reading his bible. Ruben dedicated many years of his life to his Christian faith and helping other people.

Ruben was preceded in death by his parents Emiliano and Valentina Duenaz; his sisters Dora Duenaz Lopez and Ruth Duenaz Gobea; and his brothers Andrew, Rudy, David, Simonand Pedro Duenaz.

Ruben is survived by his daughters Almarosa Fern (Arturo) and Ashley; his sons Ruben (Gina), Benjamin (Maria) and Enrique(Chisty) Duenaz and Eric; his grandchildren Alizandria(Ramon), Misael (Lorena) and Jairo Soto and Gabriel Duenaz; his great granddaughter Elizarosa Valenzuela; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruben was a beloved and caring father, brother, uncle, and a proud grandfather. He cherished his role as a great grandfather to his great granddaughter Elizarosa. Ruben will be missed by all who knew him and remembered always.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, with Visitation beginning at 9am and Funeral Services at 10am at Frye Chapel.
