Rozene Mack was born on February 4, 1936, in Meridian, Oklahoma, to the late Edgar and Tina ('Tiny') Mack. He passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2026. He was the youngest of eleven children.

When Rozene was just two weeks old, his family relocated to Blythe, California, from Meridian, Oklahoma, during the Dust Bowl in search of work. From that time forward, Blythe remained his lifelong home. He attended local schools and distinguished himself as an exceptional athlete in track, football and basketball. An All-League athlete, he was a proud member of the legendary 1954 Palo Verde High School football team, widely regarded as one of the school's greatest teams. He later attended Palo Verde College where he continued to excel in both football and basketball. Rozene also played in the local men's basketball League where his team dominated competition for many years.

Following his college years, Rozene enlisted in the United State Army. He was stationed at the Presidio in San Francisco, California, where he served as a chauffeur for distinguished dignitaries including French General Charles de Gaulle. After receiving an honorable discharge, Rozene returned to Blythe and worked as a hay loader, faithfully providing for his family until his retirement.

At an early age, Rozene accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. A devoted man of faith, he found strength, comfort and peace through his personal relationship with God. He was a dedicated member of the Saint Paul Baptist Church in Blythe, California, where he faithfully served as a deacon until declining health limited his involvement. Alongside his brothers, he formed a gospel group that shared Christian music throughout the region.

In 1960 Rozene married Brenda Lee Palmer, and from that union, their son, Kevin Mack, was born. In 1966, he married the love of his Life, Evelyn Martin. Together they were blessed with four children: Aurory, Reginald, and twins Ryan and Ravine.

Rozene was a man of few words, yet his presence spoke volumes. He was kind, humble, generous, and gentle in spirit. He rarely voiced his own pain or worries, choosing instead to quietly carry life's burdens with dignity and strength. His legacy of faith, perseverance and strong work ethic will continue to live on through his family for generations to come. As deeply as he was loved by those around him, God loved him even more.

Rozene was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Eddie, Floyd, Lloyd, William, Ernest, Alonzo, Naomi, Carrie, Lula and Dorothy.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Evelyn; his children Kevin (Jeannie) Mack of Coachella, California; Aurory Mack of San Bernardino, California; Reginald (Rocquel) Mack of Corona, C.alifornia; Ryan Mack of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Ravine (Fred) of Menifee, California. He is also survived by his grandchildren Alysha of Hemet, California; Larissa (Cameron) of Murrieta, California; Darius and Amaya of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Kaelin of Corona, California; great-grandchildren Nolan of Hemet, California, and Josiah and Alaia of Murrieta, California. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and loved ones.

Rozene will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25th from 5-8:00pm. Funeral service will be Friday, June 26th at 11:00am. All services will be held at Frye Chapel in Blythe. Burial will follow immediately at Palo Verde Cemetery.
