In Loving Memory of Rosa Lopez Maya
November 10, 1949 – January 15, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Rosa Lopez Maya, on January 15, 2025. At the age of 75, she left this world after a courageous battle with dementia, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family.

Rosa was born on November 10, 1949, in Mexicali, MX. Widowed at just 45, she devoted herself to raising her five children—David, Patricia, Edgar, Egbert, and Erica—with unwavering love, strength, and dedication. Her kindness, caring nature, and helpful spirit touched everyone she met.

Rosa found joy in sewing and knitting, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and love. She was a source of warmth and inspiration to all who knew her, always putting her family and others first.

She is survived by her five children, 17 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Rosa is now reunited in eternal peace with her husband, David A. Maya.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity, cause, or memorial fund in her name.

Rosa's love, strength, and warmth will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Services for Rosa will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Saturday, February 1st with Rosary beginning at 9 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m.

A celebration of Rosa's life will be held on Saturday, February 1st at VFW Post 2987 at 12 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join us in honoring her remarkable memory.
