Roque Zarate passed away on September 3, 2019 surrounded by his family in Palm Springs, California.  He was 85 years old.

Roque was born on August 16, 1934 in Texas to Ramona and Luis Zarate.  He married Elisa Perez on July 19th, 1953.

He lived most of his life in Blythe, California where he was a truck driver for many years.  He enjoyed playing the accordion for his children and many friends.

Roque was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Ramona Zarate; his daughter Sally; and sons Henry and Freddie.

He leaves behind his wife Elisa Zarate; his children, Cecilia, Robert, Olga (Rafael), Roque Jr., Linda, Eddie (Rosa), Elizabeth, and Victoria (Ron).  He is also survived by over 80 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services for Mr. Zarate will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21st, 2019 at Frye Chapel in Blythe.
