Obituary

Our beloved Tata: Robert S. Soto passed away peacefully December 30th, 2022 at home in his bed surrounded by loved ones. He was born on August 15th, 1924 in Phoenix, Arizona to Beatrice and Manuel Soto. Robert moved from Phoenix to Blythe, California in 1935 where he resided until his passing.

At the age of 19 Robert served in the U.S Navy and fought during World War II from 1942-1944.

After the service Robert settled back into Blythe met and married his first wife Nellie brooks together they had daughters Barbra and Cynthia. Robert was later remarried to Cecila Castro together they had Gilbert, Joseph, Robert and Valerie.

Robert worked and retired with the Palo Verde Unified School District as a custodian for 21 years.

He dedicated his next 50 years to being a loving , caring brother, father and grandfather.  Family time has always been such a big part of his life. The bond that he and all his siblings shared was unbreakable. You could have asked any one of his siblings and they would have said Bob was their favorite brother. He loved his siblings so much we know he is so happy to be with them all again.

There isn't anything more that he loved than being our tata. His whole life was wrapped up in his grandchildren. All the laughs and memories will forever be cherished. He lives in every one of us. Our Tata lived 98 beautiful years on this earth. He is and will always be our family's biggest blessing; he was the most gentlest man there ever was.
