Robert Gary Pipkin

On 11/15/2022 God said Gary come walk with me, your work here is done.

My Dad was born and raised in Blythe California. He was born 11/07/1935 the oldest of 4 from the marriage of Eva Mae Newberry and Robert Sidney Pipkin. He leaves behind his brother Arthur Pipkin, sister Pat and (Alan) Hacker, and sister Marjie Chappell. His daughter Debbie and (Leonard) Villas. 4 Grandkids, 13 great grandkids and 7 great great grandkids. He loved each and every one of those kids. They always brought a smile to his face.

My Dad lead a very full life, graduating from Palo Verde High School class of 1954, and spending the next 8 years in the Air Force where he met my Mom Kathleen J Currul. They married January 1959. From that marriage came two daughters, myself Deborah Pipkin-Villas, and my sister Judy Powell. My Mom and my sister Judy welcomed my Dad with open arms as my dad went to Heaven.

My Dad was one of the founding members of the Blythe Jeep Club. He loved the outdoors He also built sand buggies from the ground up. He loved racing them. If he wasn't out in the desert, then he was fishing somewhere. Back waters of Palo Verde, Colorado river, frog gigging in the ditch banks, yearly trip to Lake Powell. Camping with family behind Williams Az every year.

My Dad could take anything apart, fix it and put it back together again. He did things like that his whole life. He had a water hole in his front yard. The birds and rabbits would come in at sunrise and sundown. He kept them fed and they came back each day.

Welcome home Dad. I hear there are many fishing holes in Heaven. Enjoy your journey.
