Rigoberto Perez Sandoval Sr. passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California. He was 88 years old (and didn't look a day older than 60).
Rigoberto was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on February 17, 1929 to Jose and Inez Perez Sandoval.
He was married to his wife Carmen Perez for 64 years and together they had seven children. He worked for numerous farming companies throughout his years in the Palo Verde Valley until he met Mr. Dale Hull which started his 30 years of employment with Hull Farms Inc. He retired in 1991 and thereafter dedicated his free time with his wife to tending to his animals and his farming chores. He loved spending time and swimming at the river. His pastime was chopping mesquite wood in preparation to make his one of a kind specialties, pork carnitas for the entire family to enjoy.
But most of all he was a extraordinary man with strong values, he was a solid rock in all of our lives that we could count on. He never ceased to amaze us with his strength and determination to never give up. He will forever be a priceless treasure to our family and we will never forget his sacrifices, guidance and support. Forever in our hearts. Papa/Tata.
He is survived by his wife Carmen; his children Maria Soledad Lopez (Joe), Margarita Perez, Pedro Perez (Jovita), Luis Antonio Perez, Yolanda Vingochea (Juan), Jose Raul Perez (Jean) and Rosie Navarro (Alejandro); 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
