Blythe
Ricardo "Richy" Salcido, 66, was born on October 8, 1954 in Mexicali, BC Mexico to Jesus and Maria Salcido. Ricardo was called home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2021 in Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, CA.
Ricardo was a faithful husband of 33 years to Elsa Salcido. Ricardo was also a loving father to his five children: Veronika (Pedro) Duran, Ricardo (Laura) Salcido Jr., Jessie (Dolores) Salcido, Marco Salcido, and Erick (Sabrina) Salcido; including being a father figure to many, such as his siblings and family.
Ricardo was a man that had the biggest of hearts and it showed especially when he was around his grandchildren. His grandchildren are Jessica, Cesar, Pedro Jr., Mia, Xavier, Brianna, Destiny, Jessica, Jessie Jr., Jestina, Jesiah, Jaden and Karley including his great grandchildren; Jeremiah, Cesar Jr., Emiliano and Dulce.
Ricardo worked in the agriculture industry all throughout CA for over 40 years. He loved every aspect of agriculture: thus, his love for gardening. When he wasn't doing that, he was doing carpentry, working on cars or cooking with the disco. Ricardo was a selfless man always willing to lend his hand to help others.
Every family and friend gathering Ricardo would be the cook, sampling the food as it was made. You'd often hear his phrase "this is good chicken". That was his staple for saying something tasted good.
Ricardo's love was unconditional and will shine bright forever for generations to come.
Ricardo is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Maria Salcido, his brother Jesus Salcido, his sisters Alicia Ponce, Ana Salcido, Beatriz Salcido, his son Jessie Salcido, granddaughter Jessica and great granddaughter Fernanda.
