A Beloved Child of God

Phillip Rains, the beloved son of Phil and Nancy Rains, passed away on January 15, 2025, in Los Angeles, CA. Born on November 15, 1985, in Long Beach, Phillip was a loving brother to Lisa Rains, a devoted uncle to Waylon Haase, and a wonderful brother-in-law to Sean Haase. His aunts, uncles, and cousins also loved him very much.

Phillip attended Palo Verde High School in Blythe, CA, and graduated in 2004. He went to work at Sheltering Wings Thrift Store, where he made many friends and touched the lives of those around him.

Known for his love of Jesus, video games, the Hallmark Channel, and spending time with his girlfriend Ericka, Phillip always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service for Phillip will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church, 350 N. Palm Dr., Blythe, CA 92225.
