Obituary

Noah Allen Wade was born November 13th, 1942 in Modesto, Ca. to Milton and Emma Wade. Noah died at his home in Blythe, Ca. on May 25th, 2023, after a long battle with kidney disease.

Noah's family moved often in his early years, but finally settled in Blythe in 1950. Noah attended Blythe schools from 3rd grade through High School, graduating from Palo Verde High in 1960. A member of the first class to graduate at the new High School on Lovekin.

Noah married his High School sweetheart, Shirley Ann Howard, on December 29th, 1961. Noah and Shirley wasted no time in starting a family, welcoming their daughter Renee in 1962, sons Jeff in 1963 and Tim in 1964. Having three small children at 22 was difficult, but Noah did whatever was needed, often working multiple jobs, always bettering himself to provide for his family. Noah primarily worked at service stations in his early years, including 6 years leasing a Phillips 66 in Quartzsite, Az. Noah and his family moved back to Blythe in 1971 where Noah worked his way up through Chevron USA, managing their station on S. Lovekin. When Chevron USA sold the station to Wayne Cusick in 1979, Wayne kept Noah on as manager. Noah and Wayne became lifelong friends, and with their families shared golf vacations yearly to Morro Bay.

In August 1980 Noah and Shirley purchased their own Chevron service station at 449 E. Hobson Way in Blythe. Eventually Federal EPA regulations made it difficult for small gas stations to remain open. But when God closes one door he always opens another, and at age 52, Noah attended the California Correctional Officers academy, beginning his career at Ironwood State Prison in September of 1994. Noah retired from Ironwood S.P. shortly before his 70th birthday.

Noah enjoyed golfing and RVing and anything involving family. If you knew Noah you knew him to be a quiet, no nonsense man, difficult to get to know. But once you got to know him you found a caring, honest man whose love for family and genuine friendship knew no bounds.

Noah leaves behind to mourn his passing his daughter, Renee (Guy) Gnatek, sons, Jeff (Christy) Wade, and Tim Wade. Grandkids, Jeffrey (Tamara) Wade, Ali (Adam) Nouse, Noah (Tiffany) Wade, and Zachary (Camille) Gnatek. A brother, Wendell Wade and sister, Bernice (Dennis) Moore. Great-grandkids, Brody & Brooklyn Wade, Dillon & Tanner Nouse, and Gwynneth & Rowan Wade. Brother-in-Law Ray (Sharon) Howard, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Noah was pre-deceased by Shirley Wade, the love of his life, to whom he was married for 58 years prior to her death. His parents, Milton and Emma Wade, and brothers, Dean Wade and Lawrence Wade.
