Michael J. Porter, 71, passed away at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, California on June 19, 2026.

He was born on April 3, 1955 in Alturas, California to Nelson and Elizabeth Porter.  Michael was a devoted and longtime Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for Blythe, serving the Palo Verde Valley for 30 years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife Sylvia and son, Kenneth.

Funeral Mass will be held for Michael on Thursday, July 2nd, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with burial following after at Palo Verde Cemetery.
