On Tuesday December 22, 2020 Matthew Ryan Chavez passed away suddenly, to be with the Angels above.

Matthew enjoyed tinkering with his bike and riding it around town. He loved to listen to music.

Matthew arrived in existence April 9, 1997, on a beautiful day in Indio, California to parents Michael and Sherry Chavez. Matthew was raised in Blythe and attended school there as well. He loved to tinker with things, he was "a real MacGyver". He was known for his sense of humor and heart of gold.

Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Josephine Chavez, of Corona.

Matthew is survived by his parents Michael and Sherry Chavez, his sister Brandi Chavez-Perez (Jorge), brother Michael Chavez ll, nephew Daniel J. Perez and niece Alexis E. Perez, all of Blythe; and an uncle, Todd Johnson, of Corona.

He will forever be remembered by his maternal grandparents, Bruce and Linda Johnson, of Corona, CA.

Matthew's interment will be private by family request.

May he now rest in ever loving peace.
