Mary Helen Mendoza
August 18, 1944- January 08, 2021

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Mary on January 08, 2021.

Mary was born to Ramon and Josephine Olivas in Tucson, Az. She was the oldest of 12 children. Mary was a 1963 graduate of Pueblo High School in Tucson. After graduation she met and married the love of her life of 55 years, Lorenzo V. Mendoza. And through their love they had 8 children, Larry, Patricia, Angelica, Rebecca, Luz Elena, Yvonne, Mark, and Mike.

They moved to Ehrenberg, Az., where they have lived for 52 years. Mary worked for the Palo Verde School District before retiring after 35 years, but where she remained volunteering for the next 10 years. She loved all of her students and enjoyed seeing them all grow up.

Mary was a dedicated wife and mother, but her joy was her grandbabies and great grandbabies, they all stole her heart. Mary loved spending all her time with her children and grandchildren and loved family dinners surrounded by them all.

Mary is survived by her husband Lorenzo V. Mendoza, daughters, Patricia, Angelica, Rebecca, Luz Elena, Yvonne, and sons Mark and Mike, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, many family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Lorenzo "Larry" Mendoza Jr., father Ramon Olivas, mother Josephine Olivas, brother Ramon Olivas Jr. and niece Lori Contreras.

Services will be held on Thursday January 28, 2021, Viewing at 9:00 am at Frye Chapel, Rosary at 10:00 am also at Frye Chapel, and Mass will follow at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 11:00am. Mary's final resting place will be in Tubac, Az.
