Marion Boyens

December 27, 1929 – December 16, 2025

Marion Boyens was born on December 27, 1929 and was raised in Vail, Iowa, by her parents, Walter and Charlotte Grimm. Marion grew up on a farm in a close-knit farming community, where she learned the values of hard work and caring for others. Through her community of friends and family, she met her future husband, Irvin (Irv) Boyens. At a young age, the two set off for California. They married in the San Fernando Valley in 1948 and started growing their family.

Marion was a kind, loving, hard working mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. They moved to Blythe, California, in 1954. Building their lives together, they created their family business, Oasis Drinking Water, in 1962. After Irv passed in 1988, Marion continued their business until she sold the company in 2010.

Marion is survived by her children, Michael Boyens, Edward Boyens, and Sally McIntyre. Her sister Dorothy North, her ten grandchildren, and her fifteen great-grandchildren.

Marion was preceded in death by both of her parents, her son James Boyens in August 1973, her husband, Irv Boyens in November 1988, her sister-in-law, Leona Dorothy Boyens Walde, April 2016, her daughter-in-law, Lasonda (Donna) Boyens in January 2019, her grandson Michael Joshua (Josh) Boyens in August 2024 and her daughter, Susan Todd in August 2025.

Marion will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her gentle presence and unwavering love touched the lives of many, leaving cherished memories that will be treasured forever. Her family and friends will deeply miss her comforting smile, her wise guidance, and the warmth she shared so freely. Though she is no longer with us, Marion's legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to inspire
everyone she held dear.

Marion will be laid to rest at the Palo Verde Cemetery in Blythe, California, next to her beloved husband, Irv Boyens, and her son James Boyens.
