Maria C. Reyna joined the Lord in Heaven on January 7, 2018. She was born on March 1, 1925, in Owensmouth, CA (now Canoga Park, CA). Maria was the third of six children born to Enrique Celaya and Maria Gonzalez de Celaya. Maria's parents and family moved to Atil, Sonora, Mexico when she was five years old. There she married the love of her life, Serapio Reyna, on December 29, 1956, and they had two children. In 1963, the family moved to Blythe, where agricultural work was plentiful, joining Serapio's cousins Antonio Galvez and Beatrice G. Soto.

Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (Nana), and great-grandmother (Nita). She loved to cook for family, and friends when they came to visit. Maria adored her grandchildren, whom she liked to babysit, and her great-grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and cherished praying the Holy Rosary twice a day.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband, both parents, granddaughter Brianna Reyna, brothers Enrique, Eloy, and Arnoldo Celaya.

Maria is survived by her son, Robert (Anjelica) Reyna, grandchildren Rebecca Reyna, Diana Gonzales, daughter Maria (Pat) Connolly, grandchild Jessica Panuco, twelve great-grandchildren, sisters Delia Martinez of Fresno, CA, Hortencia Urias of Tucson, AZ, numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26th at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Mass starting at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow immediately at Palo Verde Cemetery.
