Maria Solorio Garcia, 78, of Blythe, California, passed away on March 28th 2017 at her home in Blythe.

Funeral service will be held at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church on April 7th at 11 am. Burial will follow at Palo Verde Cemetery. Frye Chapel will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Maria was born in Michoacan, Mexico to Baltazar and Esperanza Solorio. She went to high school in Mexico and then moved to Blythe, California in her early 20's to help take care of her nieces and nephews for many years, making child care her life's work. She enjoyed homemaking, sewing and spending time with her brothers and sisters and many grandchildren and was also involved with the Catholic Church.

Maria is survived by her husband, Victor of 49 years; children Victor Jr., David and Angela; brothers Baltazar and Jose Luis; sisters Maria Elisa, Maria Eralia, Maria Jesus and Maria Angela; grandchildren Bryan, Alicia, Devin, Taryn and James and great-grandson Azeal and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Isidro and Heribeto.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Frye Chapel. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the family and friends for all the support, well wishes and prayers in this trying time.
