Maria de Los Angeles Cabuto Jimenez Diaz, 83, passed away on March 10, 2017 in Indio, California. She was born January 4, 1934 in Mexicali, B.C. to Rafael Cabuto and Crescencia Jimenez.

While attending grade school, she met a classmate by the name of Cirilo Bojorquez Diaz, who later became her husband on Dec. 8, 1954. Maria and Cirilo went on to have a total of nine children.

She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Maria is survived by her children, Jose (Martha) Diaz of Indio, CA, Maria (Curtis) Wells of Blythe, Gregorio (Maria) Diaz of Tucson, AZ, Joe Diaz (Andrea Boucos) of Phoenix, AZ, Margarita Gabaldon (Michael Causey) of Phoenix, AZ, Angie Cabrera of Hanford, CA, Manuel Diaz of Mexicali, B.C., Irma Morrison of Blythe and Gabriela (Rodolfo) Garnica of Blythe; and many grandchildren.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband Cirilo, her granddaughter Mercedes Marissa Gabaldon and son-in-law Tony Morrison.

Viewing will be Thursday, March 16th 2017 from 5-8:00 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Frye Chapel. Mass and Celebration of Life will be Friday, March 17th 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with burial following at Palo Verde Cemetery.
