Manuel Urrea Sr. passed from our lives on August 12, 2017 in Blythe, California.  Manuel was born on May 29, 1940 in Litchfield Park, Arizona.

He is survived by his children: Molly Larez of San Jose, CA, Mary Ann Urrea Canez of Blythe, CA and Miguel Antonio (Michael) Urrea of Goodyear, AZ; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son Manuel (Prieto) Urrea Jr.; parents Victor and Petra Urrea; brothers Margarito Urrea, Gilbert Urrea, Victor Urrea Jr., Edward Urrea, David Urrea and sister Emma Urrea Casarez.

After retiring from employment in San Jose, California, Manuel moved back to Blythe.  He enjoyed family and friends, sports - known for being an avid 49ers fan, and enjoyed gardening.

A celebration of Mr. Urrea's life will be held at Frye Chapel in Blythe on Thursday, August 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm.

A Mass will be held Friday, August 18th at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 9:00 am.  Interment services will follow at Palo Verde Cemetery.
