It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Louie Vega who left us on January 24th 2026,

Luis Manuel Vega, known to many as Louie, was born on April 27, 1972, to Martin Vega and Soledad Ramos Vega. He spent several years living in Mexico before making his home in Blythe, California, where he made friends everywhere he went.

Louie lived life to the fullest. He had a big heart, a loud laugh, and a personality that filled any room. Time spent with Louie usually turned into an adventure—or at the very least, a funny story. He was generous, loving, and would do anything for his family and friends.

He loved motorcycles, fishing, hunting for gold, and spending time with the lawn chair mafia. Louie was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Fishy Sandoval Vega, whom he loved deeply.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie; his siblings David Vega (Susan), Martin "Jr." Vega (Belinda), and Alma Hernandez (Tony); and his many nieces and nephews.

Louie will forever be remembered for his humor, his kindness, his craziness and the love he shared so freely. He will be deeply missed and always loved.
