Loy Dean Valentine
10/13/1939 – 05/08/2022


Loy was born in Long Beach, California and lived his entire life in California except for the years proudly spent in the Navy.

Loy (and wife Carole) are long time residents of Blythe, CA and a member of Calvary Chapel Blythe.

Loy passed peacefully at Loma Linda Veterans Hospital after a long illness.

Loy is survived by his wife Carole. Four sons; Rodney, Eric (Becky), Gregory, Bradley (Mac) and seven stepchildren; Sherri (Andrew), Michael, Martin, Charles (Kathy), Katherine (Bruce), Barbara (Darren), Donnie (Tish). Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Loy was preceded in death by his parents Delbert & Corrine Valentine; brother Robert, stepdaughter Merita Marvel, daughter-in-law Jewel Bales and grandson Junior Woods.

Loy drove a Semi for Consolidated Freighting for 36 years and retired in 1998. He spent the last 20 years living on the Colorado River.

Loy's great passions were God, Country, family, friends, his boat and his Harley Davidson. (It was hard to separate him from his Harley.) He loved spending his days exploring the United States on his Harley and boating on the river with family and friends.

Loy was loved and will be greatly missed!

Memorial service with be held June 4th 2022 in Blythe, CA at the First Southern Baptist Church, 350 N. Palm Dr. at 10:00 a.m.

Refreshments will be served after services.
