It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Luis Froylan Maravilla, who peacefully departed our world on February 13, 2026.

Luis, affectionately known as "Louie," was born on May 5, 1982, to his parents, Luis Gomez Maravilla and Doreen (Zibliski) Maravilla in Burbank, California. His family moved out of Burbank, California, in 1996, to Blythe, California. Where he learned his unwavering passion for the race track as a testament to the memories he shared with his sister Jessica (Maravilla) Hiestand and his grandmother, Alice Pemberton . For years, Louie dedicated his life to working at the Lucas Oil, now locally known as Blythe's Speedway race track. Louie was a cherished son, brother, father, uncle, and most importantly, a friend to many.

In his spare time, he would hang out with his furry and faithful companion of many years (Lucky) and enjoyed going fishing with his mom.

Louie is survived by his mother, Doreen Maravilla; his sisters, Jessica Hiestand and Luz Valenzuela; his sons, Luis Maravilla and Emilio Maravilla; and his daughters, Emily Maravilla and Gianna Melendez.

He was preceded in death by his father, Luis Gomez Maravilla, and his brother, Luis Rene Maravilla, and by many more loved relatives.

He wouldn't want anyone to bear the burden of his passing, nor would he want you to live any differently from him. He would wish everyone to live with the same free spirit he possessed, which will forever roam and live on.

Louie's memorial service will be held at the Blythe Speedway Race Track on April 25th at 7 pm. Let's gather together for the season's final race and celebrate our beloved flagman.
