Lorenzo Valles Mendoza

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our father Lorenzo V. Mendoza on August 6, 2021.

Lorenzo was born to Maria Valles and Feliciano Mendoza in Chihuahua, Mexico on September 24, 1934. He was the oldest of seven children. At the young age of 15 he came to the U.S. and moved around with his work. After moving to Tucson, AZ he met and married the love of his life Mary Helen. Through their love they had eight children: Larry, Patricia, Angelica, Rebecca, Luz Elena, Yvonne, Mark, and Mike. They moved to Ehrenberg, AZ and there they lived for 52 years.

Lorenzo worked for many different local farms as a Foreman and Mechanic. At the age of 62 he was forced to retire due to medical issues. He still worked part time at Morgan's Drive away delivering trucks to different locations.

Lorenzo loved keeping busy. If he wasn't working on his cars or his children's cars, he was driving around visiting his buddies, or spending time with his very close friend he considered his family, Alvado. Most of all, he enjoyed being around his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He always kept us all smiling with his silly dancing and crazy remarks.

Lorenzo was a dedicated husband, father, Tata, and great Tata. He made sure to instill in all of us to be hard workers like himself. He was a very prideful man with all he and his wife accomplished together.

After the loss of the love of his life, he became very sad and missed his Vejita very much. Although his children were not ready, we knew he was.

Lorenzo is survived by his children Patricia, Angelica, Rebecca, Luz Elena, Yvonne, Mark, Mike, 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and many family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, son, mother, father, and 2 brothers.

Apa will be truly missed, our peace is that he is now with our mom and his son that he missed very much.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Rosary at 10:00 am at Frye Chapel, Mass will follow at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 11:00 am. There will only be a private viewing for his children and siblings. His final resting place will be in Tubac, AZ, and Chihuahua, Mexico at a later date.
