Mrs. Lola Dee (Van De Mark, Youso) Love, daughter of the late Violet Maria Steig and Archie Aloy Van De Mark and Stepfather Edgar Steig, Sr; was born March 15, 1942 in Lily Pond, Minnesota. Lola Dee Love passed away on November 9, 2022 at Palo Verde Hospital in Blythe, California due to complications from pneumonia with her children by her side.

Lola Dee married Philip Youso on May 26, 1958, from this union they had four children, Michele, Scott, Timothy and Douglas. In the summer of 1975, she moved herself and her children from Alderwood Manor Washington to Blythe, California to take on a teaching position at Appleby Elementary School.

On June 14, 1986 Lola Dee and Simmie Love were married at the Baptist Church in Ripley, California under the leadership of her brother-in-law and then pastor, Robert L. Love, Sr. They were again married in the Mesa Temple (LDS). Lola Dee was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints who loved to share her love for her Heavenly Father and her Savior Jesus Christ. She loved reading the scriptures and continued to do so until she passed away.

Mrs. Love dedicated her life to teaching children. Her passion was teaching younger children in elementary school. She was loved and admired by all of her students. She always took the extra time to ensure her students felt important and cared for.
Family was always important to Lola Dee. She hosted many holiday dinners with all of her children and grandchildren. She loved family reunions, going on road trips, playing games, and embroidery. Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her children

Lola is survived by her 3 children, Michele (Tonne), Scott (Rhonda), Tim (Shelly), her furry little puppy Penny, her sister, Alma Ann Sulin, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, a loving host of nieces, nephews, friends, and her caretaker, Antonia "Toni" Cunningham, who became a very close friend to her during the last few years of her life. She was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Maria Steig, and father, Archie Aloy Van De Mark, Stepfather Edgar Steig, Sr; her husband, Simmie Love, her child, Douglas Philip Youso and her 4 siblings, Larry Van De Mark, Arthur Steig, Russell Steig, and Edgar Steig, Jr.

Love Dee Love was buried in a private ceremony next to her loving husband, Simmie Love at Palo Verde Cemetery on November 18, 2022.
