Linda Lou Wadley, born Linda Mandoza, came into life in Phoenix, Arizona to Carl and Ollie Bell Mandoza on December 6th, 1944 and made her journey to heaven on the morning of February 5th, 2023.

While living in Phoenix, Linda met the love of her life, Bob Wadley, and the two were married in 1964. After marrying, they made their way from various cities across the country from Sarasota, Florida and Chicago, Illinois to Banning, California and Glendale, Arizona before making their way to Blythe in 1974 where they'd call it home for the remainder of their lives, all the while building a family of six kids. Bob went to work for the phone company as a PBX Repairman while Linda worked as a babysitter where she could also stay at home with her own children. She was hired by the California Department of Food & Agriculture where started as a seasonal employee in the mid 1980s where she retired as a Plant Quarantine Supervisor in 2006.

Linda had a great love for the sport of baseball excelling at both the player and coach level of local leagues. She coached her first peewee team in 1980 for Blythe Little League's Dick Farrage team. As a rookie coach, she took her team to an undefeated championship with a 12-0 record. She coached in Blythe Little League, girl's softball and played in women's City and Farm Leagues for many years before hanging up her glove at 53 years old. Even at the end of her life, she could still find herself watching a game at the ballpark and be greeted and beloved by many as "Coach", which she loved.

Linda carried many nicknames. Her husband called her "L", her siblings called her "Sis", and some called her Lou. Her favorite, however, came in 1988 when she earned the name Grandma for the first time. Grandma Linda took heavy pride in creating an unspoken beacon of safety and comfort for her family and friends alike, welcoming everyone in with love and laughter. If you knew Linda you knew her huge smile, her contagious laugh, her raspy voice, and her ability to make fun of ANYTHING.

Linda was also known as "Pig Grandma" to many in the local livestock community after taking keen interest in livestock starting with her own children to helping her grandchildren in their livestock projects. She was known for obsessing over feeding times, skin care, cosmetic maintenance, pen housekeeping, and for singing to all the pigs on the farm. It brought her great joy to go piggin' (as she would say) especially after retiring and she was proud to see her grandson, Coty, bring home a Grand Champion Market Swine buckle in 2010 at the Colorado River Fair.

Linda loved her family, being a one-woman cheering section whether it was competitive sports, livestock shows, music, school plays, awards ceremonies, or egging them on to do something goofy in the living room. She leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and integrity. To know her was to love her, to love her will mean to miss her, and she will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Linda is survived by her children; Lesley, Steven, Krista, Tracy, Eric (Kelly), and Deena Wadley, her siblings; Jerry, Jamie, Wilma, Faye, Gogie, and Diana, 26 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob, and her mother, Ollie Bell Moore.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Frye Chapel in Blythe. Burial services will follow on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. (AZ time) at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, Arizona.
