Lasonda (Donna) C. Boyens, lifelong resident of Blythe, passed away January 14, 2019 at home with her family by her side after a courageous and faith-filled 11 month battle with cancer, forever leaving a hole in the hearts of her family and friends and all who knew her.  There was not a finer example of a selfless, unconditional love than that which came from her.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and she will be greatly missed.

Lasonda was born in Blythe on February 16, 1960 to Clara Mae and Robert Vernon Allen.  She grew up in Blythe and married her loving husband, Michael H. Boyens on July 17, 1976.  Together they shared a wonderful life of family and fun.  Her greatest joy and privilege was found in being a mother to her four children: Charles Jacob, Michael Joshua, Andrew James and Lindsay Rene and she also loved being a grandma to her six grandchildren.  Lasonda touched countless lives as a dear friend throughout her 33 years of waitressing at the Flying J restaurant and customer service with Ace Hardware.  She was also a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and had a close and personal relationship with the Lord through prayer.

She is now having a long awaited reunion with her parents, her sisters Shirley, Martha and Juanita and her brother Raymond.

She is survived by her husband Michael; her four children, Jake, Josh, Andy and Lindsay; six grandchildren; her siblings Ricky, Gary and DeVonda; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday, January 23rd with visitation from 9-11:00 a.m. and funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. all at Frye Chapel.  Graveside services will follow at Palo Verde Cemetery.
