LARRY BERTON TODD

March 9th, 1944 to February 17th, 2021

Larry B. Todd 76, unexpectedly passed from this life on February 17th, 2021.

Larry was born to L. B. "Beanie" and L. F. "Frankie" Todd on March 9th, 1944. He attended all public schools and graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1962. He attended Pierce Junior College in Los Angeles where he was a member of the Rodeo Team. He earned his Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association Gold Card as he competed on the Rodeo Circuit. It was in Los Angeles in 1965 where he met the Love of his life Paula L. Payne Todd whom he married on September 24th 1965.

Early on he managed Western Exterminator in the Blythe area. In 1976 he became a hay Broker for H & S Hay Sales. He later went on to buy out Jim Prothro, joining his partner Doug Lester as Prothro Hay Sales until 1996, when he then started the family business Todd Hay Sales. He retired in 2003.

Doing his Civic duty he became a member of the Blythe Volunteer Fire Department from 1968 to 1983. He retired as a Capitan. He was also very active in the Blythe Jay Cees.  He also served as President of the Palo Verde High School Fan/Booster Club, where he supported the athletic programs with fundraisers and other activities.

Larry was preceded in death by his father L. B. and mother L. F. Todd and his wife Paula L. Todd.

He is survived by his brothers Alan "Putsy" Todd and Robbie Todd. His sons Lowell and Timothy Todd. 8 nieces and nephews 12 great nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
