Kenneth Solomon Williams was born on February 10, 1951, in Blythe, California.  He was one of ten children born to the union of Willie and Virgie Williams, who preceded him in death. On August 24, 2023, Kenneth Solomon Williams was called home to be with the Lord.  The Song "Serving the Lord will pay off after while" was one of his favorites.

Kenneth Solomon Williams graduated from Palo Verde High School. He furthered his education at California State Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology; at Western Theological Seminary where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religion, Master of Divinity in Theological Studies, and Doctor of Philosophy.

With 45 + years in the Ministry, Presiding Elder Kenneth Solomon Williams' passion was Pastoring. He unapologetically told others about the Lord any and every time he had a chance.  He loved teaching, preaching, and outreach ministries. He preached about the Urgency Now – to have a personal & intimate relationship with the Lord now; to get your house in order now; to know that time is running out now.  One of his favorite scriptures was Romans 8:28. Presiding Elder Kenneth Solomon Williams was ecumenical. He served various religious organizations such as the Church of God in Christ, Baptist, Christian Methodist Episcopal Church (CME), the Masons, and the Shriners. He pastored Mount Pleasant CME Church and organized Greater New Life Christian Center Mission.

When Presiding Elder Williams was not in the pulpit, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, Twyla, whom he loved very much and he would shout it from the rooftop. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles, fishing, talking, and spending time with his brother, Larry. This summer he planted watermelons and many in the community enjoyed the fruits of his labor.

In addition to his parents preceding him in death were his great-grandchild, Kal'ii Thomas; brothers, Joe Powell, and Walter Lee Williams aka Bubba; sisters, Marian Anderson, and Gwen Williams; sister-in-law, Joann Powell.

Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 17 years, Twyla Williams; he is also survived by his six children, Tomesha Williams-Jones, Natosha Williams-Adorno, Kenneth (Lau) Williams Jr., Thomas Williams, Dolores Williams, Denzel Williams; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters, Rudolph Powell, Joe Willie (Frances) Williams,  Ella Mae Williams, Larry Williams, Dorothy Williams; aunt, Joyce Harris, brother-in-law, Howard Anderson, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and a plethora of friends and church family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 14th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Frye Chapel & Mortuary.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 15th at 10:00 a.m. at the Spirit of Life Church in Blythe with burial following at Palo Verde Cemetery.  There will be a repast held after graveside committal services at the VFW Post 2987 also in Blythe.
