Kelly Williams-Crowe was born August 31, 1962 in McFarland, California to Marsha Wallace and Alonzo Williams Jr. She grew up in Hawthorne, California. She was baptized at Atherton Baptist Church. She graduated from George Washington Preparatory High School in Los Angeles, California in 1979 at the age of 16. She then attended Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas. There she met Alax "Danny" Crowe and they were married in May of 1982 in Gilmer, Texas. During their union of 25 years three children were born: Alexis, Jonathan and Ellyse.

In 1987 they moved from Longview, Texas to Blythe, California. Kelly began working at the Colorado River Community Action Childcare Center as a teacher's aide. She received her Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies and a Certificate in Office Occupations from Palo Verde Community College in Blythe, California in 1990. Kelly began her career at Chuckawalla Valley State Prison on April 29, 1981, as an Office Assistant (General). In January of 1992 she quickly promoted to an Office Assistant (Typing). Kelly transferred to the classification of Teaching Assisting in June of 1993. She received her California Adult Vocational Teaching Credential in Office Occupations and Computer Information Sciences through the University of California San Diego in 1997. In May of 1998, she promoted to the classification of Vocational Instructor, Office Services and Related Technologies. She also worked as a Part-time Adjunct Instructor at the Palo Verde Community College teaching the Computer Information Science Classes as well as the Distance Education Class. She was a member of the CVSP Support Team, and Trainer for the In-Service Classes. Before retiring after 29 years in 2019, she received numerous accolades and awards.

Kelly was a devoted Christian and received her Ministerial License May of 2010. She officiated weddings, baptisms, and funerals. She was a member of Shiloh Agape Ministries where she acted as secretary until her relocation to Palm Desert, California in 2012. Kelly was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Evergreen Chapter 65. She was a past secretary of the NAACP local chapter as well as Secretary and Vice President of the Black History and Multi-Cultural Museum. Kelly was also a former President of the Blythe Girl's Little League, where she was also a coach. She was the creator and director of Steppin' Fresh Drill Team which won multiple awards. Kelly was a past president of the local chapter of the Association of Black Correctional Workers (ABCW). She was an avid Laker fan. Kelly loved to bowl and was a member of the Ladies with Game traveling tournament bowling club.

Kelly is survived by her 3 children: Alexis, Ellyse and Jonathan (Cristina). Her grandchildren Jonathan II, Zaraivion and Jaslene. Her mother Marsha Stinson. Her siblings Robyette Hewing (Gary), Nikki Dodd, Johnny Dodd Sr. (Tanesha), Wynita Jones and Robert Williams. Her godbrother Richard Banks and godson Xavier Hewing. Her adopted sons Devonyll Rogers and Cameron Robinson. And a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Kelly was preceded in death by her father Alonzo Williams Jr. Her stepfather Ellis Stinson. Her brothers James Preston Bonner Jr. and Ronald Williams. Her grandmothers Juanita Mays Wallace and Charlene Jones Darton. Her grandfathers Alonzo Williams Sr., James Wallace Sr. and Lee C. Sherman.

Kelly's love for God and her family was tremendous. She had unconditional love for everyone. She was a light to anyone she came in contact with and had a genuine kindness toward every single person she encountered. Her prayers comforted many and her smile lit up rooms.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 12th from 5-8:00 p.m. and funeral services will be on Thursday, Jan. 13th at 10:00 a.m. - and will be available to watch on Facebook live via her daughter, Alexis' facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/alexis.crowe.399 ); all services will be held at Frye Chapel in Blythe.  Burial services will follow on Thursday at Palo Verde Cemetery.
