Alexander Guilin Sr.
February 20, 1937 – January 14, 2021

On January 10, 2021, Julia S. Guilin was called home. Knowing they would always be together, on January 14, 2021, she reached out to her love of 58 years, Alexander Guilin Sr., and began their journey home together.

Julia and Alex married in 1963. Alex began working at Sander's Tires and later owned and operated Guilin's Tire. After selling the business, he went to work at Alex's Tire with his son Alex Jr.

Alex Sr. loved being at the ranch and raising cattle. He also enjoyed going to livestock shows with Alex Jr. Julia was a stay-at-home mom whose top priority was loving and caring for her children.

Alex and Julia will be deeply missed by all who loved them.

Alex and Julia were both preceded in death by their parents, Tomas and Piedad Guilin and William and Frances Sandoval and siblings Felicia Sandoval Vega, Tomas Guilin Jr., Teresa Ybarra and Pete Guilin.

Alex and Julia are survived by their three children Alex Guilin Jr. (Eugenia), Lisa Martinez (Fidel) and Elena Pitts (Dalton); as well as nine grandchildren Fidel Martinez Jr. (Brittany), Alexander Martinez, Vincent Martinez, Michael Guilin, Sabrina Guilin, Alexander Guilin III, Sebastian Guilin, Ivan Guilin and Giovanni Guilin; and their only great granddaughter Madison Rae Martinez. They also leave behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services for Alex and Julia will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021. Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m. at Frye Chapel followed by Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m.
