Judith "Judy" Mae Gerrich passed away peacefully Monday, October 4, 2021 at the age of 77 in Blythe, CA. Throughout her battle with cancer, she never lost her love for life.

Judy was born on August 21, 1944 in Galesburg , IL to Laverne and Dellagene Young. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Judy is survived by her brother Jerry (Sue) Young of Tenstrike, MN and her sister Cheryl (David) Tennyson of Spokane, WA. She is also survived by her daughters, Debbie (Todd) Bolin of Blythe, CA; Laura Moreno of Arizona and Carlyn Morgan of Blythe, CA; her sons, Billy (Nadine) Phillips of Kindred, ND and Vern (Melinda) Gerrich of Council Bluffs, IA; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Judy was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She was a licensed child care provider for many years and loved caring for children. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting blankets for her family. She also had a love for reading, particularly romance novels. She always tried to instill her love of reading into her children and grandchildren. She would read with them for hours. She had a great love for family and enjoyed spending her time with them.

Viewing for Judy will be held Sunday, October 17th, 2021, 6:00-8:00 pm and services will be held Monday, October 18th at 10:00 am all at Frye Chapel. Reception will follow.
