Juanita Limon
June 26, 1930 - June 12, 2023

Juanita Limon joined her parents, Vicente and Amelia, brothers, Santiago, Jacinto, and Julian, her partner Manuel Medrano, in Heaven on June 12, 2023.

Juanita was born June 26, 1930 and raised in Blythe, Ca. She was the oldest of 10 children, which included 3 sets of fraternal twins. Growing up, she was busy helping her mom care for her siblings. She was an excellent student in school, but didn't graduate because she had to work. She later attended night school in Los Angeles and received her diploma.

As a young woman, she left Blythe and went to Los Angeles. She had a career in retail and worked in various positions throughout her life. Juanita returned to Blythe when she retired so that she could care for her mother.   am sure the West Side will remember her as walking...walking everywhere.

During her time in LA, she had two sons, George Garcia and Christopher Medrano.  From these two came her greatest blessing–being a grandmother.  George gave her Gabriel and Jovana, while Christopher gave her Melissa and C.J.(Christopher Jr.).  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was oh so proud of them.

Juanita was smart, funny and kept up with the latest politics. Her family remembers her as a classy lady. Even though there are many nieces, nephews, great grandnieces and grandnephews, she remembered all of them and could tell you something funny or interesting about each of them. This past year, she shared memories about her friends that she grew up with, her dad and how would take care of her when she was sick, her relatives on her dad's side, and her sons when they were little.

Juana, Aunt Jenny, Juanita as she was known to us was 92. She lived a full life and we are happy and confident that she is at peace and is where she needed to be. We are grateful to all of the healthcare workers at PVH and Blythe Post Acute for the care that they gave our beloved Juanita.

Juanita is survived by her sisters, Rosie (Tony) Sanchez, Alice Reyna, Cecilia Padilla, Gloria Navarro, Carmen Limon, and brother Benjamin (Joann) Limon.

She was a cancer survivor and the family asks in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Blythe Cancer Resource Center. Envelopes will be available at the service.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22nd from 6-8:00 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., held at Frye Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be Friday, June 23rd at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
