Josephine Cordova Carter, 85, of Blythe, California passed away peacefully on December 22nd, 2018 at Blythe Nursing Care Center with family and loved ones by her side.  Josephine was born to Jesus and Nicolasa (Perez) Cordova on August 22nd, 1933 in Blythe.  Josephine attended the local schools and graduated from Palo Verde High School in the early 1950's.

She is survived by her son Gabriel Carter, grandsons Gabriel Jr. and Joseph; daughter Dora, grandchildren Robert, Matthew and Hannah Parks, her siblings Dolores, Ruben (Sharon) and Gracie, as well as many other relatives and friends that loved and cared for her.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 11th beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Frye Chapel. There will be a reception following the memorial service at the local American Legion Post located at 137 N. Ash in Blythe, CA.

Interment will be held as a private ceremony at a later date.
