Joseph Lee Armstrong Jr., AKA Boomer, was born on March 27, 1979 in Blythe, California to Darlene Turner and Joseph Armstrong Sr.

Joseph attended the local schools in Blythe and later moved to San Diego with his Aunt Cynthia, AKA Nay, until he moved back.

Boomer enjoyed kicking it with his best cousin Yancy and casino hopping with his sister Talee.  He also loved hanging out on Second Street where he would shoot Craps and talk crap.  Everyone knew Boomer was always talking mess, but we didn't mind because Boomer was Boomer and we loved him.

Boomer was preceded in death by his grandparents Berger Lee Turner and Jake Turner, and Dorothy Lee Armstrong and Rudy Armstrong.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Shannon Taylor; his daughters Ailayjah, Javae and Patience Armstrong; his parents Darlene Turner and Joseph Armstrong Sr.; his siblings, Lashell, Tasaucha, Taleesha, Tyrone, Shangrika, Starquisha, Joanna, Rudy, Kanesha and Joseph (JoJo); as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spirit of Life Church in Blythe.
