Obituary

Jorge "Chocho" Lee Vela was called by our Heavenly Father unexpectedly on December 30th, 2020. He was 23 years young.

Chocho was born and raised here in Blythe on June 13th, 1997. He went to Margaret White Elementary and graduated from Palo Verde High School class of 2016. Growing up he was involved in sports like Hornets Football but later settled for different activities like going to the desert on his quad, enjoying time on the Can-Am with family, cruising and racing in his Dodge Dart, and playing on the PS4.

Chocho was a hilarious and spunky young man. He was definitely the funny man in the family. Whether on Tik Tok or at a party, he was always cracking jokes and having a good time. His sense of humor and smile would light up every room. His outgoing personality allowed him to make friends easily and be loved by many. He really valued family and always wanted the gang to be together. He was always down for any adventure and road trip as long as it was with his loved ones by his side.

Chocho was preceded in death by both his grandfathers Pedro Meza and Felipe Vela. He is survived by his parents Jorge Lee Suzuki and Ofelia Lee Vela, both his grandmothers Alicia Suzuki Trenholm (Robert), Maria Santos Serna Elizondo (Felipe) from Tijuana, MX, his older sister Georgina Lee (Jose), his younger brother Jonathan Lee, and nephews Daniel Medina and Julius Flores who all reside here in Blythe.

On his father's side he is survived by his father's sister and brothers Maria Lee Suzuki, Ricardo Lee Suzuki (Francis), Pedro Meza Suzuki (Rosario), and all their children Anna Anciso (David), Ricardo Lee, Katherine Meza, Alberto Lee (Irene), Pedro Meza, Alejandro Lee, Arianna Lee, Zaira Meza, and niece Cali Anciso who all reside here in Blythe. He is also survived by his mother's brothers and sisters Efrain Ruiz (Carmen), Fernando Vela, Maria Luisa Vela (Favian), Marisela Vela along with all their children Yanelly Ruiz, Ivan Ruiz, Yahir Vela, Brayra Ramirez, Iker Vela, Liam Vela, and Carlos Comparan who all reside in Tijuana, MX. He is missed deeply by every single one.

Chocho's viewing will be Friday, January 8th at Frye Chapel from 5-8pm. Mass will be Saturday, January 9th at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 11am.
