Jorge Torres Hernandez
September 25, 1969 - September 29, 2023
It is with a heavy heart and so much sadness that we have to say goodbye to a loving father, son, brother, companion, and friend. Jorge was born on September 25, 1969 to Martha and Domingo Hernandez. Jorge was better known to his family as "Koque".
He is survived by his sons Jorge Jr (J.J.) and Isaiah Hernandez, his loving mother Martha Hernandez (Felix Wilson); his siblings Estela (Victor: Cassidy and Evan Acosta), Domingo Jr
"Mingo" (Maria "Ellie": lssak, Adriana, and Isabel Hernandez), Maria de Lourdes "Lulu" (Wesley: Wesley Jr and Esperanza Allison), and Jonathan (Jonathan Jr and Marisol Hernandez). He is also survived by his fiancee Angelia Mejia. We can't forget to mention his love for Anthony, Devin and Breanna "Bree" who he raised, loved and cared for as his own children.
Jorge was raised in Blythe all of his life. He was the third of six children. He graduated from Palo Verde Valley High School in 1987. Jorge will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a friendly person and he talked to everyone wherever he was at. He was a hard worker and a good provider. He worked at ACE Hardware for almost 25 years. Working at ACE allowed him to meet so many people and gave him the opportunity to make long lasting friendships with both his co-workers and the people from the community.
When Jorge was not at work, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved riding his Polaris RZR out by the river or the desert. He also loved watching his favorite football team, the 49ers and enjoyed joking around because he had a great sense of humor. But most of all he loved spending as much time as possible with his adult kids and his entire family. He was taken away from us way too soon. He will be greatly missed by all of us who loved him. We will carry him in our hearts forever. Jorge leaves us with an abundance of beautiful memories which we are grateful for and will treasure always. Rest in Peace dad, you will be missed and thought of everyday for the rest our lives.
