Johnny Dashann Dodd Sr. passed away on June 11, 2024, at his home in Blythe, CA.

Johnny was born on March 31, 1969, in Los Angeles, CA to Johnny G. Dodd and Marsha Wallace. He accepted Christ while attending Atherton Baptist Church in Hawthorne, CA and was baptized at an early age. Johnny graduated from George Washington Preparatory High School in Los Angeles, CA where he was an exceptional student and athlete. He excelled in baseball and received offers to play professionally. He loved cooking, fishing, music, song writing, storytelling, and cultivating. Johnny was a die hard Raiders, Lakers, and Dodgers fan.

Johnny is survived by his wife Tanesha Dodd; three children DaShanna, LaJuana, and Johnny Jr.; granddaughter Eileen Cleopatra Salinas; mother Marsha Stinson; three sisters Robyette Hewing, Nikki Dodd, and Wynita Jones; three brothers-in-law Gary Hewing, Robert Scott, and Damien Baker.

Johnny was preceded in death by his daughter Juanesha Dodd; grandson Zaydin Dodd; father Johnny G. Dodd; sister Kelly Williams-Crowe; and brother James P. Bonner Jr.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Palo Verde Cemetery, 343 W. 10th Ave., Blythe, CA 92225.
