Jose Guadalupe "Joey" Hernandez, 50, left this earth on May 14, 2023, at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California with his family at his side.

Joey was born on May 28, 1972, in Fresno California to Jose "Joe" and Adela Hernandez. His family moved to Blythe, California in 1972, where he was raised and lived the rest of his life. Joey was a hard worker and always willing to help anyone in need. He spent many years working at Palo Verde Cemetery and providing landscaping for many of the apartment complexes around town.

Joey enjoyed going to the river, cruising downtown, building things, and landscaping. He loved spending time with his grandkids and watching them play sports. You could always find him in the stands cheering them on. Joey will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.

Joey was proceeded in death by his father, Joe Hernandez and Brother in law, Robert Medina.

Joey is survived by his mother, Adela Hernandez; three children, Joseph (Clarisa), Abrianna (Jose), and Jessica; six grandkids Jose Jr., Natalie, Angel, Daisy, Gabriella, and Joseph; two sisters Sulema Reyes and Susana Medina; one brother Sammy Hernandez (Laura); four nieces Sabreena, Samantha, Kylie, Kimberly, and one nephew Robert.
